Who Am I

Hi, I’m Nick McKeown, a board-certified Physician Assistant with over five years of experience helping people throughout the Rockford area look, feel, and perform their best. I’ve always believed that healthcare should be personal—not just a quick prescription or rushed appointment. My goal is to help people understand their bodies, take control of their health, and experience real, lasting improvement in the way they feel every day.

As a local provider, I take pride in serving the same community I grew up in. Whether you’re a busy professional trying to balance work and wellness, or simply want to regain your energy and confidence, I’m committed to helping you get there with an approach that’s simple, effective, and built around you.

My Approach to Care

I believe the best results come from listening first. Every patient is unique, different goals, different challenges, and different lifestyles. That’s why I take time to truly understand what’s going on, then build a plan that fits your needs rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all solution.

From testosterone optimization and weight management to improving energy and focus, I combine evidence-based treatments with practical, everyday guidance. My patients appreciate that our conversations are straightforward, transparent, and judgment-free. We focus on progress, not perfection and celebrate every step toward better health.

Why I Do What I Do

I started EliTest Health with one goal in mind: to help people feel like themselves again. Over the years, I’ve seen how low testosterone, weight gain, and fatigue can impact confidence, motivation, and even relationships. Watching patients transform—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally—is what drives me every single day.

There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing a patient say, “I finally have my energy back.” Those moments remind me why I chose this path and continue to push me to learn, grow, and provide the best care possible.

OUTSIDE THE CLINIC

My life centers around my family. I’m grateful to spend time with my wife, Trecia, our daughter, Rylee, and our son, Cillian, who is now 6 months old. Watching my kids grow has been incredibly rewarding and a constant reminder of how important health, energy, and balance truly are. Becoming a parent has shaped my perspective in many ways and reinforces why I’m so passionate about helping people feel their best, not just for themselves, but for the families who count on them every day.

When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and being fully present with my family. Whether it’s family walks, getting outside, or simply slowing down at home, those moments help keep me grounded. That sense of balance carries into how I care for my patients — with patience, understanding, and a genuine commitment to long-term health and well-being.
